What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy combines talking therapy with a highly relaxed state. In this state your subconscious mind can reprocess and re-examine fears, habits, and negative thoughts. Hypnotism for entertainment, and hypnotherapy to resolve your challenges are completely different. Hypnotherapy is not psychic reading, fortune telling or mind reading, and it does not involve someone else having control over your mind. Whilst you are under hypnosis you will not be foced to do anything, think anything, forget anything, or act against your will in any way. It is a confidential conversation in which I guide my client into a hypnotic state in order to reach their subconscious mind and make positive changes. Hypnotherapy is similar in some ways to counselling, but uniquely tries to motivate the resources of your subconscious in order to resolve your challenges.

 

How can Hypnotherapy help you?

Hypnotherapy can help you to relax and absorb suggestions, leading you to make changes to negative behaviours in your life. In my sessions I combine talking therapy with hypnosis to help deal with a range of issues such as: stress, confidence building, phobias, habits, weight loss and smoking. I also offer sessions to help clients achieve deep relaxation.

How many sessions will I need?

Unlike psychotherapy and counselling, hypnotherapy is usually delivered in just a few sessions. I schedule my sessions in sets of 4, but every client is different and sessions can be increased if needed.
